Who Can Apply
High School Students
Grades 9-12 (Ages 16-18)
Open to students across Georgia
No prior experience needed
Rules for Participation
If accepted, participate fully and complete all required onboarding and training activities.
Engage actively in research activities, maintain professionalism, and uphold academic integrity.
Follow all safety, ethics, and research conduct guidelines established by Georgia Tech and the PRISM program.
Timeline
Phase 1: Application Opens
Program is announced and application opens
Application is submitted via google form.
Nov
Phase 2: Application Review
Applications are reviewed by the faculty member, VIP team, and PRISM Board
Virtual Interview may be conducted to better understand student background
Final decisions are made based on application, potential interview, and VIP team availability
Phase 3: Decision Announced
Decision emails are sent to applicants by mid December
Accepted students confirm spots
Phase 4: Research Launch
Accepted students complete onboarding
Meet with project mentors to discuss research topics and expectations
Students begin research projects
